Teacher Complaint: Mrs. Washburn - Saranac Elementary School
This teacher has abused my grandson on more than one occasion, but today is the last straw. Something must be done about her.
My grandson has been denied to eat his food on two occasions, that I know of and not allowed to use the bathroom when needed. I have reported her to the principal Mr. Smith, but he apparently does not care what his staff does to the students. He indicated that it is up the the teacher and that he had no control over the matter. What good is he then? Why would we pay someone who can not control his staff?
I spoke to the teacher concerning her abuse the last time she would not allow him to eat his food, and she told me the food I sent was not healthy because it contained sugar, and that my grandson could not control his body so he did not need sugar. My 6 year old grandson is very slender and needs to eat, he has a very healthy appetite. He tends to get agitated when he hasn't had enough food to eat, just as I do. She also, told me she did not have to talk to me about the issue and hung up on me.
Today, I sent corn chips, Mrs. Washburn stole them from him along with the container, I sent them in. While all the other children ate their food, my grandson had to go hungry. This makes me feel ill to even think about. (I had been told by Mr. Smith that potato chips were allowed, corn chips are more healthy then potato chips.) On top of this he was not allowed to eat the school breakfast, because some other kids had had a food fight. So these childish adults, deny everyone else food because other students were unruly? What is going on at this school? Where are the adults? Certainly not at Saranac Elementary School.
I would also, like to know when it became okay for a teacher to decide what is healthy and what is not. I would bet she doesn't have the credentials to make such a decision.
Could anyone tell me if I should report these people to Child Protective Services? I am seriously considering calling them.
