Teacher Complaint: Mr. Steigerwald/ Mrs Steigerwald - Rancho Bernardo High
My son and I and Mrs. STeigerwald had a meeting with the asst. vice principal and the counselor I believe on November 15. We were in there to go over her treatment of my son thomas. She told him that he would not pass her class that he was a failure and also told other students to not talk to him in the library where she isolated him by himself on the computers, and the vice principal didn't see anything wrong with this. We took him out of her class, the school would not transfer him into a different class, so THomas suffered by what we thought would be even better then being in her class, that he would do his studies in the office. I even had notes from students (letters) explaining her attitude towards him. She said my son disrupted the class and didn't do his homework, therefore assigning him 5 lunch detentions per day for a week. Clearly outrageous and excessive. If my son was so disruptive, why wasn't he sent to the office, or the counselor calling me or even the principal, yet NOTHING< NO CALLS. I told her that I was filing a complaint with the school district. Then, all crap hit the fan the next day. Her husband, mr. Steigerwald, was my son's math teacher. And right after the class he called my son to the front after the kids left, and whispered into his face, "Listen here you little Bit**, you messed with mmy wife, I can Fu** up your grades and FU** up you life. And a lot more abusive language. my son was scared and didn't want to be late for his other class so didn't tell me until I showed up at the school after and filed a complaint and got the police involved. My son loved to be in Mr. Steigerwalds class, so he had no reason to make this up. My son even lost 10 credits to go to another school to get away from this teacher. The principal acknowledged to thomas and myself that Mrs. Steigerwald should have kept her mouth shut, this spiraled out of control. the very next day, there were no other kids in the class and all of a sudden there were two that were there that said this didnn't happen? Wonder what grade they were offered. The school district assistant superintendent is a woosie. He is a weak man and didn't see any validity to this complaint. Don't send the kids to this school or if they are watch out for these two teachers. They are a embarassment to the teachers that deserve credit to be the best. These two teachers should not teach!!!
