Teacher Complaint: James Sangirardi - Carmel Shs
During the 2011 Spring Lacrosse season, Mr Sangiradi (The Carmel High School Atletic Coordinator) did fail to do the reqired background check for his Boys Modified 7th/8th grade assiatant coach. As it turned out, that coach was on felony probation in Putnam county. His arrest records include multiple counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, cocaine possession/Use and domestic violence assaults. This information was made available to us from the Kent NY Police Department via a FOIL request.
This assistant coach was allowed access to both the locker room and did ride the bus with players. Now it seems like the Carmel School Board is attempting to cover up his actions. After what happened recently at Penn State, we thought that everyone should know.
