Teacher Complaint: Cam Muata - 281 Forest Elementary Ts
This teacher is using negative discipline and threats to get my attention and get my son to do his homework. My son who has a disability was punished for not doing his homework by writing 25 paragraphs which was very difficult for him to do over many days during the week. This was posted in the middle of the blackboard for all to see. This teacher also had him sit out of activities including science and recess as a punishment for not bringing in his homework. This teacher frequently can be seen wearing signs around his neck to convey his wishes one of which says do not disturb or closed to discussion as to not be bothered by students asking questions. When I approached this teacher about the negativity he was sending with posting my son's repetitive writings in the middle of the blackboard, he bragged that he got my sons attention and my attention too, didn't he. My son was doing his homework and felt intimidated by this teacher and didn't want the negative attention so he tried to just sneak in and sit down without causing much attention to himself. What a terrible waste of positive interventions and the teaching that could have been learned just wasted. Please educate yourself in positive behaviors in teaching and go back to school. The Principal's response was he has stopped that behavior now.
