Teacher Complaint: Mrs. Walker - Westport Elem.

My daughter is in 1st grade, I have been having a lot of issues with her teacher Mrs. Walker. On the first day of school her teacher kept sending her over to the pick up side instead of the walkers side even after i had to continue telling her over and over that she was a walker. A week went by and my daughter wasn't out there when I went to pick her up, her teacher was tho.... When I finally seen her she was in tears, I asked her what was wrong she told me that the teacher had locked her in the class room and another teacher let her out. When I asked the teacher about it all she could say was, students get left behind when they don't listen. I have talked to the principle numerous times all he tells me is I will have a talk with her. Yesterday my daughter came home said she was starving, I said how can you be starving when you ate lunch, she started crying and told me that the substitute teacher made her stay in the class room during lunch to finish her work, while the other kids got to go eat. I had asked my other daughter if she seen her with her classmates at lunch, she said no. I called and talked to the principle, he said well I don't understand why she would be saying that when it didn't happen, I said were you in the lunch room yesterday, he said yes I was, I said did you see my daughter in there, he said I'm not sure who she is, I said then apparently you don't pay attention to the students as much as you say you do. About 10 minutes later I get a phone call from her teacher...I told her what was going on all she could tell me was my daughter was making it up, I said no my daughter wouldn't lie about this and my daughter has never came home screaming and crying because she's starving. The next day I go to talk to the principle and I tell him to eather switch her classroom or I'm pulling her out of school, but of course he sugar coated everything...I left, I was outside talking to the crossing guard when he hollard at me, he tells me he talked to my daughter about it and it was a lie, I didn't believe it. He said he asked her classmates and they said she ate lunnch with them everyday.....he failed to talk to my other daughter. I took her out of school today, and she won't be going back until this is resolved.

Are you going to home school? Why would they care if your child came back or not? You are not hurting anyone, except maybe your child. They are not waiting for her return. School goes on without her.

It almost sounds like the teacher don't care about your child. Maybe the teacher has something against your child. Usually teachers has a few students that they just keep picking at. And if the kid is in Special ED. and they are in mainstream class. The mainstream teachers usually pick at the Special ED students. That's what happened to me when I was in High School. I had a mainstream English teacher and she would just keep picking at me, just because my English wasn't top notch.
