Teacher Complaint: Ellen Dumond - Cal State Fullerton

This person is the worst teacher I have ever had! She does a horrible job teaching the material required in order to pass the exams she gives. Also, she expects you to teach yourself this concept called statistics. Ummm can somebody tell me why a student, who spends over $2000 on tuition, needs to tech himself this difficult concept? What's even more disturbing is when the student studies his tail off and at test time the question on the test have no, and I mean no, resemblance to the material that was studied from the text book. This is disgusting! What a waste of time and money. Cal State Fullerton, in my opinion, has the worst teacher ever, Ellen Dumond!

Bad students expect that teachers can force feed knowledge into their memory cells. Picture two students -- one who reads the assignment, does some of the problems at the end of the chapter, then comes to office hours and asks for a few minutes of time to explain a couple of the concepts that didn't come through. A second student who "studies his tail off," but doesn't do enough work to recognize he doesn't understand all the concepts, walks into an exam expecting to find problems identical to those covered in lectures, and then claims that because he paid tuition (a bargain at today's rates, by the way)the teacher should have given him the test questions ahead of time. It doesn't work that way. Poor students always blame their teachers.
