Teacher Complaint: Mr. Griffin - Glendale High
Today was the straw that broke the camels back. Griffin seems like an okay guy when you meet him, but if your not popular or dont play a sport he treats you like dirt. What is a friendly reminder to a jock can be a scolding and evil eye to a geek (myself and my friends). He treats students so unfairly in that he punishes us way more for the same thing the other students may do. For example, he looked at one of the sport players who was talking and said could you quiet down? come on man" Very playful and casual. I talk one time: "(me) would you turn around and BE QUIET! Your disrupting the whole class, why dont you try learning and being mature." Here's the other thing: HE CHECKS OUT GIRL STUDENTS. You read correctly, every time a female student turns in a paper, the second they turn around his eyes shoot straight to there ass. EVERY TIME. Hes constantly flirting with one girl, seated closest to him, and talking bout the game with the sport players instead of teaching the class. Today, he called me gay to the whole class. Everyone was talking, and a friend of mine who sits behind me was saying my name. Because the class wasn't in order anyway i turned around. This is what i hear coming from my "Teacher" "(My name), Why don't you stop turning around and pay attention. Why cant you stop turning around to stare at (Friend) and pay attention." Then when my friend raised his hand to ask a question he says "Whats your question? is it why (Me) cant stop staring at you? Is it if hes attracted to you? cause that's what I'd be asking." This is when the whole class begins laughing at me. Overall he would be a fun guy, if he decided he liked you. I understand that teachers may treat there students differently (were all human) but the degree of his mistreatment is so outrageous i dont even want to show up to his class.
