Teacher Complaint: Mrs. Sebeck - Nolanville Elementary
Several times I've had teachers (his pre k teacher and 1st grade teacher) demand I change my sons ADHD medication because he's not as quiet or obedient as they would like. His last teacher actually humiliated him in front of his peers which I brought up to the principle last year. His current teacher is very kind but she did make a claim that she suspects my son has Dysgraphia. Nolanville doesn't test for that particular problem and I am pretty sure that along with medication demands is illegal. The last straw was today when the assistant principle called me regarding my child. She told me how she scared my son about Alternative school, told him that was where he is going. She also told me he would be expelled tomorrow, since he's had so many referrals to the office. This school obviously has the scare tactics that I do not approve of, especially since my son is only 8 years old. We are working on finding a medication that works for him, where he doesn't look like a skeleton child and sleeps well which is of the utter most importance to me. I would not recommend sadly anyone send there child to this school. I do not feel that this school has my sons best interest at heart. I do not feel that they are on my side in anyway. I have been made to feel that my son is a nightmare for them, and they will not tolerate an eight year old childs problems or want to educate him. His ADHD is genetic and something I have been dealing with since he was old enough to walk and talk. It's hard enough as a mother without having the entire school come down on you and tell you that your son is going to be expelled for non violent behavior and that he is a disruption to the classroom and he is headed to Alternative school. If you knew my son you would know this is crazy, my son is a very kind and loving child, he does not deserve to feel like he's not wanted or cared for by the school and his teacher.
