Teacher Complaint: Martha West - Benjamin Banneker Elementary Sch
This is our sad story:
My son is only 5 years old.
My son started Kindergarten just this year,
and with in the first week he came home and told me his teacher hit his friend with a yard stick bound in tape!! What could a kindergartner do so wrong to receive a beating w/a stick in the first few days of kindergarten???? Where is the sunshine, songs, ABC's and 123's? This continued on almost a DAILY basis. I am appalled!!!
If an officer pulled me over for being wrong, lets use speeding, he would have no right to beat me with a yardstick! That would be assault!!! So why are our children any less citizens???? This is child abuse!!
PLEASE HELP!!! WE NEED A NATIONAL BAN on the violence!!
Update:
There have been many parent complaints, many parents sitting in on class days, police report filed, principal Givens notified, parents told "this is how we operate" Parents have went above principal and spoke to Dr.Hoard and was told she would get back to us about the matter. It has been four months, still no response!!
We have been sissified and dismissed while the children in the school continues to be abused!!
