Teacher Complaint: Ms. Maxie - Clemente Community Academy Hs
Ms. Maxie was the meanest teacher I ever had. She was racist against me and a couple other students because we were a different race then she was. She would constantly talk down to me or the others and would even jump into my conversations by saying "She could only do that because she's white" or "You couldn't do that if you were black." I tried to be nice to her, but she was always so mean to me for no reason.
She taught a fashion class and I did good in my class, but she would tell everybody that she only passed me because she didn't want to have to be with me again in summer school. She was happy that I wouldn't be in her class anymore.
She made us all food one day I was in line; there was a bowl of potato salad up ahead.
I don't eat potato salad so I told her I didn't want any. She said, of course you don't,and stuck her nose up in the air. I know she said this because I'm white because a few moments later, she was telling an african american student who never ate potato salad before, that since she's black she's supposed to eat it.
She also let everybody in the class get fabric, and the woman at the register gave it to us for free. I remember her clearly saying "It's on me." So one day I wanted to use the fabric and she told me I had to pay her for it! Everybody else was using there's, but I had to pay for it. I refused and told her how the cashier gave it to us for free. She started stuttering and saying that that is a lie and she had to pay for it out of her own pocket. So, needless to say, I was so frustrated with all of this, that I stole the fabric. She knew that I did and told my dean. I got 1 week of in school suspension, but I didn't care. And when I finished the punishment and came back to her class
she was madder than ever and kept telling me I don't belong there.
I'm happy to have graduated a while ago and be away from her.
