Teacher Complaint: Mr. Kim - Canyon Middle
When I was walking into room I-7 for third period history Mr. Kim (substitue teacher) was standing at the door of the class room. As I walked in Mr. Kim poked my stomach with his finger and said “you need to do some sit-ups”. When he poked my stomach his finger touched my abdomen muscle.
Then about 5 minutes later Mr. Kim told the class a story about a time when an eight grade student had failed to listen to his direction and Mr. Kim threw a volley ball at the student’s head so hard that the student was crying.
Mr. Kim said the student is no longer at Canyon Middle School because he is now attending high school.
Approximately 5 minutes later, while class was not being instructed and children were up walking around, I said hello to a girl class mate of mine and Mr. Kim said “have you guys not been introduced yet? _______ this is Loser. Loser this is _______”.
I felt very embarrassed and a wave of sadness came over me. I felt so sad that it was very hard to focus on my class work. I don’t understand why Mr. Kim said those things to me and I feel very uncomfortable around him. I left the class feeling sad and the feeling stayed with me all day. I told my mom as soon as she picked me up from the library at 3:45pm.
