Teacher Complaint: Lynn Rigney - Ecole Notre Dame Des Victoires

It has come to my attention that several boys over the last six years have been abused - both mentally and physically - by the schools 4th grade teacher, Ms. Lynn Rigney. Parents have discussed this with both principal and reverend of the school and the teacher is still employed. I also understand that the Archdiocese received formal complaints, in writing, and nothing was ever done.

The best thing to do in this case is to go to police, and if that does not work- go to the media. Contact a local news station. Once the media and public find out, there will be a public outcry and the school/police will be forced to take action. Physical abuse usually warrants charges of assualt and depending on severity, felony child abuse charges. Public outcry is a very effective.

Our child was witness to the abuse this teacher put on students. Many of the parents complained but she is still there. The safety of the children should be paramount - protecting them first should be the school's top priority. Heard the teacher is good drinking friends with the principal.

This teacher is a bully. She physically (grabbed him by the ear and pulled him down a flight of stairs, squeezed his arm so strong that he had red mark imprints of her fingers, left him in an office for 2 hours by himself) and mentally (told him he had ADD, he was stupid, he would never be anything) abused our child in 4th grade. We were forced to leave the school and the principal blamed our child for the abuse he encountered in her class room.

I was in her class also, she called one of our classmates a twit, and dug her nails into my shoulder because I was eating a carrot in the hallway. Does that sound normal?

I was in her class,where she sucked up to the parents and strangled me when she thought I was chewing gum.Thank god she finally retired.
