Teacher Complaint: Marissa Obando - Max Haller - Graham Park Middle

While in my home both Ms. Marissa Obando and Mr. Max Haller acted in a condescending and disrespectful manner to my concerns related to homebound instruction and my requests not be answered or addressed. They smirked and me and shrugged their shoulders and said no comment, basically acting like they did not care. While teaching my son they also chatted, texed on the phone, made jokes - all to the point my son, who is Autistic could not concentrate and was distracted by thier unprofessional behavior. When I realized that they did not care about my requests and concerns I went upstairs to my room. At the top step I walked on a nail tac for my carpet that pierced my foot, this is dangerous for me as I am diabetic. Mr. Haller heard me use the "b" word (which I did out of pain) and told Ms. Obando that "he thinks" I called her the "b" word. My son heard him say this and when he tried to speak up on my behalf Ms. Obando told him to keep his mouth closed or she would go downstairs to where my husband was and become very angry. She threatened my son. Since yesterday both have been removed. I have requested a formal apology in writing from both of them to go into the school record as they have defamed my character. I also informed them that if they refuse to apologize officially I will place an official complaint within PWCS in Virgina and the VDOE. I am appalled at their behavior and lack of professionalism. I am also hurt that anyone would even imply that I spoke in an unbecoming manner to any teacher. I am an in your face person that advocates for my son. I do not need to swear or call names. My knee jerk reaction using a superlative, in this case the "b" word was due to the excruciating pain I experienced when the tack pierced my foot. All they had to do was ask me. If they were not comfortable with that they could have gone to my husband, expressed their speculations, he could have asked me, this would have been cleared up and my son would not have been traumatized nor would my character be now impuned. I am livid.

These people from Dr. Walts, the superintendat of Prince William County Public Schools, along with his assistant Timothy Healey, all the way down to their deputy executive assistant did nothing. I received not even an apology. I will be suing for defemation of character and quite a few heads will be rolling. I will name names. These ideologs of the school culture of corruption will not win. They red flagged my family, taught my son nothing, hurt him, and they will be legally held to account for this.
