Teacher Complaint: Jayme Cashman - Highland El Sch

Mrs. Cashman has continued to have inappropriate comments to the students and to the parents of her students. She truly seems more concerned about her personal life than her role as educator. Often removes students (not her own) from their classrooms to inquire about neighborhood events. Does not dress professionally, references her personal life to the students during classroom time instead of focusing on course content.

Unfortunately this post was made by the soon-to-be ex wife of a man engaged to one of our beloved teachers. Mrs. Cashman is a wonderful person and fantastic teacher. Both of my children had her and I look forward to the 3rd and 4th child hopefully having her, as well. It is unfortunate that a woman who is so desperately jealous must spend her lonely evenings trying to bash a beautiful human being. Fortunately, we in the Highland family know better and think the world of our teachers. And as a neighbor of the poster on here, I can promise you that Mrs. Cashman is nothing but professional, classy, and has fantastic report with students, fellow teachers, administrators, and parents. This poster's allegations are false. Perhaps this woman should spend less time on her computer trying to (unsuccessfully) find ways to tarnish a good person and instead try to be a better mother to her own children. Team Mrs. Cashman!

I can only assume the person posting the original comment does not have a child in Mrs. Cashman's class. My child has had a great year with Mrs. Cashman- by far her best year yet at Highland. She has learned a ton and had a great time in the classroom. I have always found Mrs. Cashman to be very professional, caring towards the kids, and dedicated to their education. She is a lovely teacher and she doesn't deserve to be slandered on the Internet.

I notice the original poster was "undisclosed". How very interesting. My child is in Mrs. Cashman's class and, as I noticed the poster wrote Dec. 7th 2011 as the incident date, I must chuckle. Mrs. Cashman was absent from school that day caring for her sick daughter. This post is erroneous and, unfortunately, very transparent towards the author whom many of us can easily identify. It is a small community and we know what (and who) Mrs. Cashman struggles with outside of school. What a shame. She is a victim to say the least. I am just so glad that, while she has to deal with a most ridiculous person outside of school, she still comes to school each day with a smile and energy like no other teacher my daughter has had. She puts her students first and I am a very grateful parent. Thank you, Mrs. Cashman. Stay strong!

GRATEFUL PARENT OF EXCELLENT TEACHER!

As news of this hideous post spreads through our community, I am thrilled to see the support in and out of the school for Mrs. Cashman. I am also pleased to hear that the authorities were contacted this morning and the matter is gong to be dealt with, as this site supposedly provided the origin of the poster to the police. She is a fabulous lady and my son thinks she is the best. She goes the extra mile, cares very much for her class, and even attends their events outside of school when possible. All this and she still takes care of her own beautiful family at home! She is a class act and top notch, bar none. We have been flooding her inbox with supportive emails and she said the district has, as well. Thank God this terrible person is going to be stopped once and for all, as I hear it isn;t the first time this poor woman has been a victim of this author. And the story is that the woman who supposedly wrote this doesn't have children in our school. Awful. I saw her this morning and she is the same upbeat friendly teacher she always is. That's how she is. Never letting anyone or anything get in the way of doing her job with excellence. Kudos, Mrs. Cashman. You are a true gift.

I am late to this but wanted to add my comment. Mrs. Cashman is a great teacher, mom, and friend. The person who wrote this is reportedly mentally ill. It's all over our development. The poster of this complaint has a history of lying and deceiving and, after a year, we have all caught on. The rumor is she lost her marriage and at least one of her child's love because of her vindictive ways. Disregard this post. It has no credibility. As a parent in the school I would like nothing more than to see the person who posted this complaint to just go away and leave Mrs. Cashman and all of us neighbors alone.

If you are going to post something rude about a teacher in hopes of having something bad happen (in this case it backfired), you should probably know what grade the teachers teaches. Not only is the complaint filled with slanderous lies, it says the teacher teaches 6th grade. Well, she doesn't. It would seem that, if you knew this teacher so well as to give specific detailed complaints about her, then you would know what grade she teaches! Mrs. Cashman is a lovely person and a wonderful teacher. The person who made this complaint is a liar. Nothing more. Disregard.
