Teacher Complaint: Kimberly Neal - Sandra Day O'connor H S
I have had ongoing issues with Ms Neal since my son started at Oconnor. I have most recently had a meeting with her and the Dean Ms Bridges about the most recent issue. My son had missed 2 days of school because he had bronchitis. When my son returned, there was a substitute, and a scheduled Biology test. My son told her he had been absent but she gave him the test anyway, and he failed. Miss neal told my son he should have told the sub "Im not taking this" What student would say that??? I had a meeting requesting a retake, and he did. But since this meeting, she has been grading my son harder and he is barely passing. I felt before she was singling him out, which she denied. My son is an A student in AP classes. Now suddenly after this meeting, he isnt passing ANYTHING in her classs, and she has a terribe attitude in general. I felt at the meeting, that it was her and Ms Bridges against me, and that Ms Neal was right. but I disagree. She is INTENTIONALLY seeing that my son struggles and doesnt pass.The Dean said she is one of the best, well who said this? I know people (adults) who beg to differ. I really want my son placed in another AP BIOLOGY class because she has my son labeled. I mentioned this at the meeting but it was brushed off. He doesnt feel comfortable in this class anymore and I dont feel comfortable having him in that class and being treated fairly.
