Teacher Complaint: Lynda Mcglynn And John Fiorentino - Russell O. Brackman M S

The computer teacher Lynda McGlynn mistreats and yells at the students with deamining words, she specifically picks on my daughter who is a very quite kid and never talk back to her. Since my daughter is that quite, this lady is abusive and humilated my daughter in front of the class with demeaning words. This situation got worse on January 5th 2011 when my daughter asked for a paper to finish her class work, Lynda McGlynn flipped out yelling at her with no reason and throwing the paper on my daughter's face, the paper hit her face and fell on the ground. My daughter didn't talk back or answer in any way since she felt intimidated with the yellings and demeaning words. When my daughter told me I immediately email the vice principal of Russell O Brackman, John Fiorentino, then next morning we (mom and dad) went to the school to talk to him about this teacher. Since we started our conversation with John Fiorentino, he tried to persuade us that this situation most probably didn't happen in the exact way my daughter told me and maybe my daughter was exagerating or even misunderstanding the teacher, after we insisted and even warned him that we would go to the police department to press charges against the teacher, he told us he would investigate, and during the whole conversation he didn't want to be interrupted, when we wanted to talk he hold his hand up saying "let me finish", we didn't have the opportunity to say all we wanted, he kept talking all his personal life and how much he "loves" kids.
My daughter's father kept asking how long will take the investigation, but John Fiorentino didn't answer. I asked clearly that I didn't want my daughter with that teacher in the same room anymore and warned him that If I'm not heard I will go to a higher instance. Then he answered us and he agreed to move my daughter out of McGlynn's class and offered us to call us later with the results of his investigation.
Around 2:15 p.m. he called me and I went to the office to talk in person, John Fiorentino told me that since there's a special ed kid in the class the teacher often gets very frustrated, during the whole conversation he was giving excuses to understand why the teacher is so upset all the time. In that moment I didn't believe what I was hearing. I told him that his excuses were unacceptable and again he hold his hand up saying "let me finish, don't get mad at me, I'm just telling you what my investigation was", he told me that his investigation was the following: he asked 5 other students in the same class if they saw something and I asked the teacher if she did what my daughter told. Off course the teacher said that she didn't do any of that. And the five students interviewed didn't see clearly how Lynda McGlynn handed the paper to my daughter but the 5 of them agreed that she flipped out and started yelling at my daughter with deaming words, all of them agreed that this teacher is always angry, and yells and is always in the bad mood, get cranky all the time, and use deaming words. Mr. Fiorentino told me since nobody saw clearly how the paper was handled there was no way to go further with my complain. Jhon Fiorentino told me that he "suggested" the teacher to lower her voice and not to use deaming words, that's all he did. He was even trying to paint my daughter in a bad light saying that she hungs out with problem kids (which is not true) and maybe the bad influence of them, etc. My daughter is a A+ student, always quite and she never got one problem with any other teacher in her entire school life.
If you have any complaint about the staff members of this school, please speak out and defent your child, nobody else will do it.

You most certainly didn't handle this situation correctly. One, always go to the teacher directly first, if that doesn't work go to the principal second. Two, don't always believe everything your child tells you, it seems to me that she wasn't being entirely truthful. Three, threatening to go to a higher authority just makes you look ignorant. Chances are if you had spoken with the teacher you would have been able to resolve the issue promptly. However, from the way you sound you are the type of parent who believes their child can do no wrong. This attitude will backfire.
