Teacher Complaint: Barbara Keen - Spencer Middle School
First allow me to say that Mrs. Keen is a very kind person but she is one of those people that were just not destined for education. She has a lack of capability to teach anything that isn't from the book. The book is wha the entire that revolves around and the book is described as an outline for the course.
Well, a few of my personal feelings that she blows thing out of proportion like on one of the earlier days of school, we were ordered to participate in a mock firedrill. Well I have a friend that s known for random coughing attacks and is eternally sick. So his row is dismissed and he has a small coughing attack. SHe accuses of trying to hold up the class so he can be with friends in line. THis is irrational behavior and the worst part is her reaction. She made the entire class wait for Chase to finish and made him catch up to his row. THat is not a very favorable view of discipline. In my opinion, she should understand that kids are people and not books to sign out and give D-Hall to.
Another unfair thing that I realized is also during the fire drill. We are mandated not to speak during the going and coming from a fire drill. So there are about 15/28 kids talking. I mean come on it is like the 2nd day of seeing their friends after 3 months. So she only disciplines one kid that is talking. She yells at this ONE kid out of 15. THAT is unfair.
