Teacher Complaint: Amanda Fields - Greenbrier High School
Amanda Fields teaches advanced 11th grade English at Greenbrier High School in Robertson County Tennessee. However, "teaching" is the last of her duties. When she is at work, she gives "busywork", i.e., outside projects for the kids to do. No grammer is taught in her class. My child asked me how to cite a paper she had assigned. I asked if she didn't have the MLA handbook in her class. My child stated she hadn't even gone over it. Keep in mind, this is an advanced English class.
She is constantly either on Facebook or texting in class. She tells the females in the class that they don't need men . She has an child with a man with whom she is not married to which is her business. But, I don't feel that the topic of men should be brought up in an English class. This is a conservative area of Tennessee, to be blunt, she should not have been hired in the first place as she is not setting a good example for the females at the school. That coupled with the fact that she does not teach leads me to file this complaint.
