Teacher Complaint: Mrs Klun - Ps 27 Hillery Park Acad
Actually, this woman should not even teach young children as she expects way to much from a 1st grader. Our children are not in college at 5,6,and 7 years old. They are still children that have relatively short attention span as they grow and develop. You will be asked to teach and school your child at home. I'd like to state that I do believe in pushing a child to his or her limits to do thier best but this woman goes way overboard. Numerous parents have realized Mrs Klun deliberately sends children home in trouble when she doesn't get total cooperation from the "entire" class. I can tell you this, If you have 20 to 25 5 and 6 year old children I can guarantee that not all will be attentive. So even though your child may good in school, your child will suffer at her throne when other children don't follow instructions totally. I about snatched her out of her classroom by her hair in the month of May 2010 as I witnessed this with my own 2 eyes. She is lucky there was a classroom full of children or she would have answered to my throne. Instead I conducted myself like an adult and brought this to the attention of the school principal as well as a letter to the Buffalo Public School Superintendant "Williams" which was most certainly brushed under the carpet. I made numerous attempts to to call his office and was placed on hold or disconnected and recieved 0 results. I have now removed my children completely out of Hillary as well as the Buffalo Public School system altogether. Please don't be misled I do not fault all the teachers in the system fora a few bad ones but I will not let my children go to a school where even the principal brushes things off so their reputation doesn't get worse then it already is. I just feel sorry for the children that will continue under this womans educational guidelines and I empathize for the real parents who are strict on their children and their children will suffer at this womans discretion.
