Teacher Complaint: Mrs. Breneman - Ladera Ranch Elementary School
Mrs. Breneman was my son in 4th grader teacher. My son was in challenging math from 1st grader to 3 grader. His Star's math test was 540 points in 3rd grader. With her reason, she put my son in a lower math class even I requested to review his performance. She denied and said I was teaching here 16 years and this is a final. So, my son was bored in this class because its not his level, and turn out he is always bring B,C, even F grade home. So, I decided to let him to take a GATE (gifted and tallent )test, he passed it. This time, I brought it up to the Principal, only 2 months left for school out of the year, she puts him in the challenging math. I am feel sorry for him to waist time in Mrs. Breneman class because the book Life skills Training was not study at all comparing with the other class, they work till end of the book. This book was teaching about bully, self-esteem, smoking information, dealing with stress... Mrs. Breneman was not care for the students, she is so poor academic performance, my son and other kids were not learning anything from her. Parents brought it up to Principal about teachers poor performance, but she can not do anything because base on they were in District too long,can not fire them. Finally, parents have to move the children out of this school.
Moreover, this is a politic school. If you know someone insider office, you have a good chance to get a better Teacher. Finally I can say this school needs to be change everything to get better school.
