Teacher Complaint: Frederic Dugenet - Eastern Washington University

I am a student at Eastern Washington University and Professor Dugenet is my French Prof. He seems to make the other women in class...at least some of them feel quite uncomfortable as he is constantly starring at us and when I say starring, I mean gawking! He not only stares at certain girls...but also makes it apparent that he is starring at certain parts of their bodies, making the situation that much more uncomfortable.

My sister knows a girl who he dated from some running club in Spokane that he is a part of, and this girl told my sister that he is literally a "sexual pervert." These were her exact words!!! She also went on to say that he is divoced, and his wife also made this claim of him in court...I don't know what is going on or what is true or not...but pornography that involved younger girls was involved in the description of him by my sister's friend. She had a nasty break-up because of this, and apparently she is not the only woman to have dealt with this.

At this point I am extremely concerned as to whether or not we have some "sexual pervert" teaching us!!! I am not sure what to do about this...but cannot wait for class to get over...this is for sure, and I KNOW I am not the ONLY girl to feel this way...he is weird and sketchy...not sure what to do? I feel however, that this should be noted and reported...just in case this has happened before as I know he taught at St.Georges and apparently some co-workers felt the same.

Just not sure how this got past the hiring committee at EWU.

Please, please, please make an official complaint to Eastern. They need to know that women are uncomfortable, and with good reason. This is his ex-wife, and what is said is true.

I also know him and dated him at one time...this seems to be an issue with many more than this poor student! And I ended a relationship with this person because of the above issues...although they may not be exact...it was the same circumstance with him having sexual issues etc...I felt very decived by this person and found out more and more from several different women upon leaving the relationship....knew it would catch up to him sooner or later...but had no idea in would seep into his teaching...this is highly disturbing as an educator myself. Please go to someone there at Eastern and let them know of this...before someone else is made to feel uncomfortable or worse...you are paying for your education and it should NOT involve this!

I and no one else posted the information regarding Frederic Dugenet on the website teachercomplaints.com on Jan 28th, 2011 the information is false and should be removed immediately
