No need for me to get upset about the same issues that occur as a pattern over and over again. The best thing I can do at this point is take matters above your control. Considering we've built an extensive rapport with each other exemplifying non interesting demeanors toward an defenseless child who has no power to defend herself, when in situations that are intimidating from an supervised adult.

First of all, I've been through this issue with you all numerous of times. I'm glad you appear to have the answer to my child development in doing things that's totally out of her character when only in your care. I've tried sharing my concerns and has done all I can do to work with you all as a team for the best arrangement for my child. You've showed lack of interest, neglect, and rejection in the matter.

Second of all, the last thing I want to do is caused disruptions to a class by simply observing my child interactions in her classroom after repeated discussions, emails, and phone calls with the school. No one has any answers on why my child is urinating on herself more than she ever has, before entering Lasalle, now she's making bowel movement in her clothes, and left in the bathroom alone to clean herself after informing an adult she had to use the restroom and was totally ignored. No one knows, why? No one wants to effectively listen to my concerns, no one confirms that my child is in a stress reduce environment.

Instead I receive principles acting out in vague and vexed demeanors. I receive principles pushing doors on me in a attempt to kick me out of the school, I receive the principle calling security to escort me out of the building. I receive a principle willing to get confrontational with me until I decide to pull out a recording device. I receive all sorts of excuses on why you all are not able to assist me after I've been raising a concern of my daughter teacher character since the beginning of the school year that leaves me feeling very uncomfortable. I receive Mrs. Knapp verbally attacking me and literally being two steps from my personal space aggressively telling me to get away from her classroom in a attempt to provoke a negative response from me because of her poor choice to treat me less than a human being. I receive repeated statements that I'm not welcomed to stand any where near her class while the principle is in near surroundings to approve her actions against me. I receive the teacher and principle placing my daughter out of my eye sight to prevent me from seeing her at all. I receive the prinicple and teacher placing bullitin boards on the glass window to prevent me from observing my child well being. I receive all sorts of actions to defeat the purpose of making solid professional decisions for all parties involved. I receive the refusal of a principle allowing me the opportunity to take my child with me after being informed and told I have two options to follow, which were, take my child out of the school with me if I didn't like what was going on, or leave the building inspite my uneasiness about my daughter safety with her teacher.

I find it to be intersting that inspite of all the choas demostrated from the professionals, it still remain i'm the one creating the problem. Inspite of all the confusion, I never disrespected anyone. Furthermore, today a huge amount of time was wasted toward non productive actions in making a difference in our school system, for my child being at risk for alarming treatment. I often tell myself if the same amount of effort was demostrated in resolving the issue that concern me the most, we would all be in a better place mentally, physically, and spiritually but because this is not the case. It leaves me no other choice but to act on behalf of my daughter care as a concerned parent while in others care by the board of education. I never intended for this to go this far, and I most defintely didn't intend for Lasalle to behave in the manner you all did. I really thought you all honered and valued your core rules recited on a yearly basis in regards to all individuals being treated fairly for the ultimate best care of the child. This couldn't be by far the truth for me.

Take your daughter out of the county to a psychologist and an independent doctor whom doesn't have anything to do with that school at all. It seems that the administration is covering up for the teacher or they are afraid that you will discover something on them.

Keep record of dates, conferences, people involve, confrontations.

A well train psychologist could get to the bottom of many things including why your daughter is soiling at school.

I find this story about Mrs. Knapp, one of the finest teachers I have ever encountered, so sad on so many levels. I heard about this website from a second grade mom who was doing a search for something else on LaSalle yesterday and she happened upon this complaint. I understand that there must be nothing more upsetting than thinking your baby is not well cared for by her teacher (the person whom she spends most of her time with during the day); but on that note, I couldn't disagree with you more on the care I have observed with your child and the other children while in her care. I can say this because I am a parent volunteer in her classroom and/or the school on a weekly basis and I have never once seen anything short of a woman who is completely compassionate, loving, funny, smart, creative and firm (afterall, she has 32 five year olds she teaches by herself--with the exception of a short student teacher stint). There is almost always a parent volunteer in her classroom to help with little things (but not teaching) and everyone I personally know loves and respects her. Personally, as much as I love kids, I often wonder how she does it day in and day out without getting a head full of gray hair or drinking a bottle of wine after school---it's a really tough job. If it's any consolation, I saw your daughter yesterday walk up to Mrs. Knapp to hold her hand after the 50 yd dash; I wouldn't think that was typical behavior for a child who feels dismissed or not loved by her teacher. I am just so sad and baffled to hear that you feel this way about a teacher whom I had heard nothing but rave reviews from other parents prior to choosing LaSalle (and we had some other great options) and whom I would give the same rave reviews about to incoming kinder parents (both K teachers are incredible). The sad thing is, your daughter is adorable and I think Mrs. Knapp is truly one of the most incredible kindergarten teachers on the planet. She is one of the main reasons I thank my lucky stars for my child being able to start a path education on the right foot.

I have just heard and read about the complaint about Ms. Knapp. My first thought after reading this, is that complaining about Ms.Knapp is like complaining about Mother Theresa. I have been around La Salle for MANY years and have had 2 children in her class. I can honestly say that I have NEVER seen or heard Ms. Knapp raise her voice or behave in any manor other than loving and caring. My children continue to recall events that occurred in room 102. Ms. Knapp comes to school each and every day with a smile on her face, a positive, fair attitude and love to be handed out to each and every student she teaches. Because I am a regular volunteer at La Salle, I can state with certainty, your child is in wonderful hands. You should direct your energy in a positive way and in a totally different direction. Ms. Knapp is nothing but the best.

Question- Why would you continue to send your daughter to a school/classroom where you feel she is unsafe?????
