Teacher Complaint: Millie Merced - Rocky Mount Elementary School
Teacher is extremely rude - will flat out LIE to cover herself. Inappropriate behavior includes yelling at students, scares and intimidates children, rips up personal papers, lies about events, embarrasses students, punishing children for anything and everything she can think of, etc. One example is when my daughter asked to go to the bathroom, she yelled "I am so SICK of you asking to go to the bathroom!!"...this has been ongoing since Aug 2010 and the Principal (Gail May) just blows us off and tells us she will speak to Mrs. Merced...behavior continues every week consistently. Should NOT be an elementary school teacher under any circumstances - not an educator, but a disciplinarian. Have heard from other parents that she has always been rude to children - yells at them whenever she feels like it and then blames the child or claims that the event never took place. Horrible teacher and Principal will defend her instead of taking action to rectify situation. Daughter is very intimidated by this teacher and school work is suffering because of it.

Since the principal seems apathetic, you should round up the dissatisfied parents, and make a petition to remove this employee. Petition should include contact info like phone #'s. Submit the petition to someone in the Board of Education, give a copy to the principal and keep one copy to yourself.
I hope this helps. You don't always need video evidence but it sure helps and be creative about how to record her without her seeing you. :3 I've seen on TV a student took a toy voice recorder and recorded his awful teacher, it was on the news long ago.
