Teacher Complaint: Mrs. Cheffo - Ps 175 Lynn Gross Discovery School

I am very disappointed with this teacher. She is unprofessional with the parents and plays favorites. My child says she is rude and I have heard other people (her old student/parent) say she is rude. However, I have seen her being nice to "preferred" parents. She has constantly complained about her work load. I understand her frustrations but I feel her demeanor is unacceptable, especially when it comes to my child. She has one more "strike" left and then I will be taking her up on her behaviour.
This is only the third day of my interacting with her and each day she has been rude to me for asking her innocent questions and has been cross with my child. The first day of school during parent orientation, Mrs. Cheffo complained incessantly about how many children are in her class (26) and how difficult her school year would be. Then she mentioned parents volunteering for class trips. I asked if siblings could come along (this is my first experience with schools here). Instead of just answering my question, she went on for 15 minutes in a very disrespectful tone. All of her comments were directed at me, and all the parents were staring at me - I truly felt like a student being dressed down by a teacher. Some of her comments included "If you come to a trip with your infant, you can not take care of the other kids and you are of no use to me. And if you get on your cell phone with your infant you really are no use to me." In this situation a simple "No. It would be too much to handle your child and the other kids" would have sufficed, and could have added "You can volunteer in different ways". Second incident was when I asked her where to put the bag of school supplies. This was met with a "Umm, I am not going to carry that bag. Your child will have to carry it". Then Mrs. Cheffo proceeded to gossip and regale a mom about her son who is in the same class as my child. The third incident was today Sept. 12 My child came home upset thinking that my child had made a huge mistake. The truth of the matter is that my child thought it was the end of the school day and picked up the back pack, where as, it was break time (or something). My child was reprimanded in such a way that my child was very upset at home and kept on saying "It was a mistake Mommy, It really was a mistake". I think she is very unprofessional and I am sick and tired of her complaining about her work.
