Teacher Complaint: Miss Rachael Waterfield - Viburnum High
Miss Waterfield is a new teacher to my school, it is also her very first year of teaching. Her previous jobs as she described to us were a high school janitor, a college janitor, and a kindergarten teacher's aid.
As far as I have experienced, she can not tell the difference between a high school student and a kindergartner. She repeatedly treats us as small children i.e. giving us coloring papers, assigning group seating and childish group names, and no restroom usage. She cannot differentiate herself between a teacher and a kindergartener as well. She is constantly making rude remarks or comebacks such as "Your face" and "Teacher Burn" and "Your mom." She has also said that last quote to a student who had just lost him mom, which she further commented on his absence during his mother's funeral by saying that our community was too tight knit and that it was stupid for all of us to attend the funeral with him. She complains about our absences while she is gone at least 1-2 times a week, leaving us with a sub who sometimes loses our papers. When questioned about missing papers she fully blamed substitute teachers and students who had no control over what the subs did with our papers. She also raised her voice to a student who was quietly talking to a friend in the corner of the room. She accused the student of talking about her behind her back while she was in the front of the room openly discussing other students' grades. She then wrote a false letter to the superintendent saying the student was "out of control" and that she was "scared of the student." When other students who were in the class were questioned, all their stories matched up. They said that the teacher initiated the fight. The administration is now deciding whether or not the student involved in the conflict should have 1-2 saturday schools or write a letter of apology to Miss Waterfield.
She is extremely unprofessional and does not deserve a job that influences people as much as being a teacher does.
