Teacher Complaint: Don't Remember - Hudson
When we moved to Union City back in December my daughter named Diana Leslie Gutierrez,she was 6 years old. We came to the Hudson District from Passaic COunty after giving our house away due to Short Sale.
However thinking that Union City was the best area to move in because I grew up in Union City when my childhood.
The first grade teacher was spanish speaking Lady whose name cannot remember, but had black short hair with glasses.
She used to assign 7-8 pages of Homework assignments,worksheets,or pages in the notebook, but never 2 or 3 daily.
Once in a while my daughter was late to school and due to her lateness along with other kids,whose names were written on the board to be embarrassed in front of the whole class.
Most of the time, one of my sons,back then was 5th grader, he witnessed when dropping my daughter off in class (when no parents were allowed to leave their kids in class), my son witnessed this Lady (DIana's teacher)
screamed at my daughter questioning of her lateness.
THis teacher was used to keep this behavior everytime my daughter was distract herself by coloring during class.
When I finally was able to meet her teacher and ask her the favor of not writing my daughter's name in the board or not to yell at her, that teacher was really moody and responded that every school has different rules and she won't change it for me, because my daughter was just not ready to be in first grade.
That same day we were both in front of the Principal, the Principal was very,very understanding with the whole situation, but the teacher she refused all the time from treating my daughter in a non-professional manner. This teacher before we met at the Principal's office, she treated like if I was her daughter.
My daughter had already spoken to the State Counselor to complaint about this situation, she's been treated.
However she's been traumatized for these situations occured in the past at Hudson School,because if there's anything she does wrong in school or if she goes late to school, she cries , and cries and cries sterically not wanting to go to school because of her lateness.
