Teacher Complaint: Ms. Kling - Lamar H S

Of course it is against the rules to use ones cell phone or other electronic devices during school, but to be singled out for it when nearly every other student in the same class is obviously using their phones? Unfair!

Today, Ms. Kling, my piano teacher, called me out when I was doing my work because I was using my phone for a good 10 seconds. I also happened to have my earphones in, but they were plugged into the piano. She then takes up my phone, and my Zune, which I wasn't even listening to; it was put away, hidden. She then turned in my devices to the office and I must pay a hefty $30 fine to get them back ($15/each device).

Sure, I was going against the rules, but why hadn't she taken up everybody's electronic devices? She has stated numerous times that despite my playing of the piano well and finishing the work ahead of time, I just can't do anything in that class. When in fact, there are a good 5-6 students that sit on the side DOING NOTHING AT ALL! Listening to their music and on their phones just as well! They don't even know how to play the piano, and she automatically punishes me for my small mistake.

Aaaaah! I have lost all respect for this teacher! This is very unfair, and if I have to pay for my devices back, then I am going to try and file a complaint to the school or perhaps find a way, in legal matters, to solve this unfair treatment.

Are we supposed to feel sorry for you? As soon as you state "of course cell phones are not allowed" that's it for me. You were wrong. End of story. I know that's hard for some people to admit, but in this case: you. were. wrong. Not the teacher. You. Everyone else is doing it, so you do it and get mad because you got caught? Ridiculous! You "lost respect" for this teacher because you broke the rules? Too funny. Don't do the crime if you can't do the time. Grow up!
