Teacher Complaint: Diana Hoover - Focus: Hope Information Technology Center
This instructor is power hungry. This class original instructor went out on holiday so we knew of Ms. Hoover. I must give you the details completely, this is a class with individuals with a starting age of 18 up to 54, I believe that is the oldest person in the class, and this is the first of communication.
Now to the good stuff, Diana Hoover walked into the room and immediately stated she was our original instructor’s boss and because she was also obligated to cover another class she wanted to get to the point in the class. This woman went on to stated she was a in your face type of person. OK
When asked if she was available to give feed-back on class room discussions, the response was,” I have another class after ours and she had to eat so she would not be available for feed-back after class”. She went on to state that she did not have time for follow-up. We started the class and advised her on subject that we had gone over as a class and started given responses. This is when the superiority came out. I have inside knowledge from this HR person in this company and that HR person in this company (not to name the various company’s) and they don’t want it this way or that way. It was totally apparent to everyone in class she has tunnel vision and was not connecting to the class. (You have an environment with people from various walks of life; some will need more in-put than others)
At break classmates gather around a table and gave feed-back on Ms. Hoover, and wanted her to bring it down a notch. “So after break she was asked to tone it down a bit” she acted as if she did not understand, so it had to be spelled out to her as if you were teaching a child to write a capital “A” a stick up and slightly to the right, a stick up and slightly to the left to connect it to the right and then a dash in the middle.
This woman should not be in a classroom.
She only sees what she wants to see and only her option counts. I am not sure of this but I think communication is something that is interrupted by the receiver. DO NOT TAKE THIS INSTRUCTOR.
Focus HOPE: MISSED THE MARK ON THIS ONE.
