Teacher Complaint: Ms. Cordero - Moody Middle

Today, February 28, 2011, Senora Cordero forced children to be publicly humiliated. In class, she gave the students lyrics to a popular Spanish pop song, and let the students sing along with the music. Then, she went around checking if everyone was singing, and everyone was singing. Next, she randomly selected 4 students that she often insults to go up in front of the class, and accused them of not singing. She forced the students to sing in front of the class, even though the students did not feel comfortable singing. She let three of the students go back to their seats after singing a few words of the song, but she forced one of the students to stay up at the front of the class. This student was racially discriminated against. The student was Asian, and she let all of the non-Asians return to their seats. The Asian student was forced to sing several verses, and was publicly humiliated by Ms. Cordero. The student began crying, but Ms. Cordero took no mercy and continued to force the student to sing. The student is deeply traumatized, and the county should be considered liable for mental damage.
