Teacher Complaint: Tracy Genica - Star Academy Charter School
Ms. Genica is a self confessed passive agressive teacher with an attitude. She is a deceitful and dishonest teacher that caused my Kinder child to be removed from the school. She smiles in your face and sets you up behind your back if you tell her something she doesn';t like.
My daughter has excelled with good test grades and great behavior. However, Ms. Genica became angry and sarcastically irate with me because I told her that as a parent I didn't think she should be having adult male volunteers at the school taking little girls to the restroom because she doesn't want to do it;
Several weeks later this teacher maliciously and vindictively told two mothers that I harmed their children by grabbing and yanking them. I was a volunteer at the school.
Ms. Genica strategically LIED on me and told the school secretary a blatant lie because she knew the secretary would start the rumor and tell the higher ups.
Since school started in Aug, this teacher shows NO compassion for the children and she is sneaky and uncaring about the kids.
She is a military wife from San Diego so watch out California. You do not want this person as your childs teacher. Her judgement is so bad that it compromises the safety of the students.
This is also a Charter School so stay away, far far away. The management company of this school is run by a bully named Terry Gogerty and the school board doesn't care anything about the kids or their welfare. They are all very old people that have no vested interest in the school.
Stay away; Families are pulling their kids out in droves. There is also a suspected pedophile working there. He touches the kids way too much in ways that he shouldn't. It's just a matter of time before something unthinkable happens but the management company, Terry Gogerty said he has no problem with the students being around potentially dangerous strangers in the school.
He's a real idiot and might be a pedophile himself;
So just ask yourself........what kind of teacher would cause her 5 yr old student to get kicked out of the school just because the childs parent confronted her about something wrong she was doing.

This teacher is an outstanding individual who I very much trust with my child and their education.
This parent should be embarrassed that her direct actions caused the board to ask her to leave. The child is the one being punished for the irresponsible actions of the parent.
Every parent at this school is a volunteer lady, it doesn't make you special.

I could not have asked for a better teacher for my child. She goes way above and beyond her call of duty every day for the kids in her class. I fully trust this teacher and all other staff members when it comes to my child's safety and education. I am PROUD to say that my child is in her class and at this school and will remain there.
This parent is no longer at this school for many reasons. She needs to get her facts straight before posting such blatant lies.

I will put myself on this site to say that this teacher is phenominal in the classroom and out. I have looked up to her and seen her as an individual that guides me and I will gladly support her as her co-worker and her friend.
Yes, California watch out! You have one awesome teacher coming your way! :)

I am Terry Gogerty's daughter, and I just have to say that it was completely out of line to say "he may be a pedophile himself". Your anger and frustrations may very well be accurate (although judging by the comments, they're not), but that's not for me to judge. But to make accusations that Terry is a pedophile is absolutely ludacris. If you'd like your complains to be taken seriously, I suggest you stick to the facts and leave out the defamation.
