Teacher Complaint: All Teachers @ West Hertel - West Hertel Es
First I want to say this is not directed at all teachers and I give them alot of credit because I know what they put up with. I was picking up my grandkids today. What I saw was unreal. This is suppose to be a uniform school. These teachers were dressed like you wouldnt believe. I would never have known they were teachers if my son in law didnt tell me. I thought they were parents picking up their kids. I saw 5 teachers with jeans and a T-shirt. Now if our students have to wear uniforms these teachers should be dressed professional. I can see on Fridays being dressed down but then let the whole school do it. Our kids learn from our Teachers and Adults. These kids look up to the adults. These teachers are also rude, ignorant and want respect but dont give it. They do not have patience with kids that have ADHD. They need to be taught how to deal with these kids. My 3 grandkids have ADHD and they dont get treated or have the same punishment as kids without ADHD. West Hertel was shut down for awhile. They need to shut them down again or get some better teachers and personal in there. The people in the office are worse than the teachers and the principal as far as attitude goes. They are even more disrespectful. I was raised you need to give respect to get it. You need to visit it without them knowing you and stand in the hall ways and watch what goes on. Someone please remind me again why we pay these teachers. Calling the Superintendents Office is a waste of time because they dont let you speak to anyone and they give you a run around. I was on the phone trying to address this issue for a hour today and got absouletly no where. Everyone I talked to told me I need to speak to this person, this person no this person. I have tried talking to the Community Supervisor, the Secretary for the Community Supervisor and the Parents Liaison for the past yr on these complaints along with some student issue and have gotten no where. Its a waste of breathe. No one will do anything. Someone please help me. When I addressed this issue with the principal today she told me she has no control of the teachers.
