Teacher Complaint: Mrs. Fay - Lake Ridge Middle
This has been happening all year. I had even heard horror stories about this woman but I told my child we would give her the benefit of the doubt.
She teaches 8th grade extended language arts. I realize that this is a high school course and would be more difficult.
She degrades the kids and makes them feel horrible, then once they leave the classroom they get picked on by the other kids.
She never gives clear directions and places unrealistic demands on the kids. Homework is always HOURS long. She will actually have her class write down their opinions and then grade them on it. Since when is an opinion wrong? I have talked with other parents in different classes and we all have the same complaints.
If you have a conference with her she will tell you that "this is the way it is done in college". First off..no it isnt. Second...this is not college. They are 8th graders.
I wish I had listened to the other parents and had my child removed. Let this be a warning to any of you that may get this woman...do everything you can before school begins to have your child removed and placed with someone normal.
