Teacher Complaint: Mrs. Aben - Fenton Intermediate School
Well today is the final straw. To start my son was diagnosed with ADHD and also has a speech problem. So my Ex and I had found a program that specialized in these areas of difficulty in kids and enrolled him in it. The first year was perfect. He had a great teacher Mrs. Conroy. She communicated with us all the time and answered any questions we had whether it was through a note sent to her or in person.
This year has been nothing but hell. This years teacher seemed good at first. Then months after he started, we found out she was pregnant. (This teacher doesn't communicate with parents at all, unanswered questions, no reply to notes sent in my sons bag). The problems started early January 2010. My son has been sent to the office more than 4 times due to his "itching condition". My son suffers from sever eczema which gets worse with stress. THE TEACHER KEEPS TELLING MY SON HE HAS CHICKENPOX! Clearly she has NO IDEA what chickenpox look like. And I heard from another school employee, that she said she didn't want to get anything(since she was pregnant)...due sometime in the next month or two.
Not only that, but I believe she call protective services on me. My son and I were playing around and he got a small patch of rug burn on his back. And I don't know how it came about of her or someone else seeing it but they had him pick his shirt up and show them.
This teacher has caused nothing but trouble for my son. He comes home crying sometimes....telling us he has "chickenpox". Thank you Mrs. Aben for that tidbit you put in my child's head. Now he thinks he has something wrong with him. Not only that, he and my whole family has had to go through a rather embarrassing and humiliating interviews with the state of Michigan.
I'm just sick and tired of having to deal with this teacher and I believe if she is/was worried about her unborn child she needs to find another line of work. Not teaching kids that get sick on a regular basis or any child that has any kind of disability.
