Teacher Complaint: Kaye Aubrey - Hancock County Middle School
My stepdaughter has ADHD and an IEP on file with the school. Her Language Arts teacher, Kaye Aubrey, has continually been an issue for my child. By not using proper disciplinary procedure, Ms. Aubrey has singled Kelly out for poor grades this term. Apparently, what had been occurring was that Kelly would read her library books at inappropriate times during class. Instead of taking the book away or contacting Kelly's network of supportive teachers to inform them to suspend her library privileges, she sat Kelly in the back of the classroom closest to her own desk. When Kelly could no longer see the board and found her complaints went unanswered, Kelly no longer participated. We did not find out about this until now, a couple weeks after these incidents. However, I am still severely disappointed in this teacher who knows what Kelly's situation is and chose to ignore it completely. On top of all of this, while I am not an English major, I can see she is doing little to help Kelly improve with her writing skills (either she is not teaching anything at all, or Kelly is simply forgetting everything--highly doubtful). If I must teach her things such as knowing when to end a run-on sentence, capitalization, and etc., why does this person have a job at all? We are going to the school in the morning to either settle this or pursue further action. Personally, I have no problem with going to the school board and vociferously complaining on Kelly's behalf.

Its something that they can use to skirt the equal opportunity education laws , because either party can say there is a problem with this student in one way or another way in the laws eyes, they can say one thing and you’ll say another.. Then at different times depending on whom is doing the talking they’ll say its another..
That was one of the reasons I finally Walked out and Left School at the age of 16, To never return to the Secondary School System... And yes Educators in florida the law statues still reads the same as they did in the 1980's any student with or with out parental permission can quit school.. Unless the parent comes in and protest it with in a certain time frame,.
If you look at the standard student with drawl form it has a place either student or parent can sign it,. A lot of florida school district’s won’t permit a student at age 16 to with drawl ..but under a certain statue legally that policy is in conflict with the law,.
I completed high school privately.. Well worth it.. Plus It got me out of that so Called Special Program.. Nothing more then a class of Shit Bag Students.. Years later on I seen some of those so called Special Students going to Jail .. And the ones Names that I could remember from Elementary to jr high school.. I ran there names in the state’s Crime Data Base and found most of these so called Special Students had very Special Histories .
Sir / Mam what I’m saying here is Get your Child off of that ADHD Band Wagon.. Because it’s a Ticket to no place.
