Teacher Complaint: Ms. Scalani - Ps 219 Kennedy-king School
On July 12, 2009, an incident occurred between my son and Ms. Scalani. My son states that Ms. Scalani was taking his class to lunch. In the process of doing so, my son Jamaine was talking in line. Ms. Scalani turned around and told him to be quiet. My son states that one of his friend asked him a question and he responded. Ms. Scalani then became very furious. While in the process of walking down the staircase, Ms. Scalani snatched his bag of lunch out of his hands, dumped it on the floor, stumped on his sandwiches and chips and ripped his lunch bag in pieces, then handed him back his lunch and yelled "Here." My son hysterically cried the whole day in school and I was not notified by the school of such occurrence. This incident occurred in front of my son's entire class. Also, a teacher stated that he saw my son's lunch bag shredded to pieces with foot print on the bag. I'm so disgusted with this situation. My son actually ate that lunch except for one of the sandwiches. He bought one of the sandwiches home. I have photos of the sandwich and will retain them for evidence. Since this occurrene my son has not been sleeping well. The way how Ms. Scalani acted out on this situation was very dangerous. My son could've fallen off of the staircase and could have caused injuries. He is very fearful of this teacher. I gave the assistant principle, a written statement requesting that son stay away from this teacher's class. I will not allow my son to ever attend her class again. Ms. Scalani showed no professionalism in such way. My child is only six years old and in the first grade and had to experience such a sadistic experience. Since then I have spoken with the district and they informed me that the principal should taking care of this matter. I spoke with the assistant principal at P.S. 219, she informed me that an investigation is still in the process.

What part of "be quiet" does your son not understand? Apparently he thinks, like every other entitled brat, that he doesn't have to follow simple instructions because his over indulgent parents will simply gripe about his teacher until he successfully evades any repercussion for his actions.
