Teacher Complaint: Stephen A Duffey - Shawswick Middle School
On January 20th, 2010, Mr. Duffey assigned my son to do 6 copies of his fact sheets. I supervised the completion of the sheets, checked them for completeness and correctness, and they were fine. Dean turned them in as requested on Thursday, 1/21/2010. Today, Friday 1/22/2010, Mr. Duffey, WITHOUT TELLING DEAN, sent a demerit to the office. The Principal, Mr. Roger Dean called Dean down to talk to him about the demerit. He told Mr. Dean that Mr. Duffey was picking on him and Mr. Dean simply said "Be nice". Dean has been sentenced to a full day of in school suspension, even though he completed the work that was requested. What's more, I was NOT called when Dean was in the office. Why was Dean's side of the story not even given a chance!? The principal and I had a discussion just two days ago about Mr. Duffey's behavior. I have had enough!
I have the paper in hand where Mr. Duffey wrote that Dean had to do 6 copies. Those copies were done and still Dean is being punished! What does it take!?
