Teacher Complaint: Mrs.brenda Sharp - Pembroke Meadows Elem.
This is a three year old issue with my son's art teacher. We've addressed her numerous times in person and via e-mail.
It is evident his art teacher has issue/s with my son.In the past three years she would give him S's in the beginning of the year;then his grades would deplete to N's or U's it seems like her pattern for my son. Even in the changing of his grades I never received phone calls, parent teacher conference request or e-mails regarding any concerns she may have had concerning my son. What happen to "teacher communicating with parents?"
I e-mailed the art teacher Mrs.Sharp about a situation that occured before the thanksgiving break and left a message for her to contact us. There was no response. On friday after picking my son up he told me he had to stay in Mrs. Sharp class and missed P.E. for the second time in one month.
I dont have a problem with correction when my son is wrong the struggle I'm having is when others are involved why are the other students allowed to return to their normal schedule and Mrs.Sharp has him remain with her and miss his P.E. class. My greater concern is he doesn't want to go to art class because she makes him feel uncomfortable. We see enough on the news about teachers and students.
In my closing I would like to thank the creator/s of this website. Until being informed of this website I thought I was the only parent dealing with the sad circumstances my child has endured in this school not only from the art teacher. As a parent my son is my number one priority and I'm his number one fan!!!!!!
I feel as though teachers have a moral obligation to students as educators and not babysitters. I'm doin everything I can to inform other parents of this website because I believe its the beginning of a good change for parents,teachers and students.
