Wow. I know times are tough right now, but I never expected things to get this bad! Kudos to you for firing the one school psychologist at WHS who was disrespectful to women and gave people the creeps. Yet, that's where the good stuff ends and the bad stuff ends.

Shame on you all for the bad things you've done.You fired the French teacher at WHS, who happens to be one of the excellent teachers. She may not be tenured, but she needs to stay at WHS. The students love her and learn a lot from her. You shouldn't be letting her go. We need more teachers like her! She's not the only good teacher you're letting go of. In the past 7 years, I've seen District 214 and WHS go from a district and school where most of the teachers had been teaching at the same school or in the district for 10 years or more. Now, most teachers have been teaching at the same school or in the district for less than 5 years! You're driving off all the good teachers and letting the lousy ones stay around!

Dr. Schuler, when I went to the Honors Music Festival this past week, this was the first event in your school district that I've seen you at. During the 4 years I attended WHS and the 3 years since then (2 of which a family member has gone to WHS), you never went to anything going on at WHS. Not a single sporting event, musical concert, play, Orchesis show, musical, Fusion production, or any other event at WHS. Why is it that you only attend meetings that you're required to attend because of your job and the Honors Music Festival? Could it be that you're out of touch with your own school district? Perhaps. Also, while I do understand that you're one of the lowest paid superintendents in the area, I have to wonder why you need a $600 car allowance, a cell phone paid for by the district, and a salary of $215,000 a year when most of the teachers in your district are making $65,000 or less! That's roughly 3.3 times as much as most of the teachers! That's outrageous! In a time when many school districts are looking to save some money, you should be cutting salaries (including your's), not firing teachers. Plus, you need to have a serious talk with all of the principals and assistant principals of all of the schools in your district about the fact that students don't seem to be improving on their state testing. Out of the 6 schools in your district, only 2 are passing NCLB (No Child Left Behind) standards and making AYP. The rest are on the verge of possibly being taken over by the state or federal government. I'm sure you don't want that! Plus, you're going to be putting a STEM program at one of those 4 high schools that are failing! That doesn't make much sense, does it?

Mr. Lichtenberger, your job is to be the associate principal of operations at WHS, not the anti-PDA (public display of affection), anti-cell phone, anti-texting watchdog. You're supposed to be making sure that everything operates smoothly. That goes for day-to-day finances, staff, building operations (especially during school events), and stuff like that. That's why you're the associate principal in charge of operations. You help make the school run a little more smoothly, but it's not your job to be chasing students down the halls and chastising them if they're texting or doing some sort of PDA (hand-holding, kissing, etc.). It's up to the students to monitor themselves for stuff like that.

Dr. Kellner, you're the associate principal in charge of academics at WHS. It's time you also do your job and make sure the students are actually learning what they need to learn to be successful at WHS and where ever they're going to go after their time at WHS. Unfortunately, since you haven't done your job as well as you should have, WHS may get taken over by the state or federal government if the test results from last spring and this spring come back as not making AYP and meeting NCLB standards. That could potentially spell the end of the STEM program that WHS is due to get in the fall.

Mr. Lopez, I don't doubt that you mean well, but you have not only continued to make WHS a laughing stock. Not even the students at WHS take you seriously anymore! Plus, you owe an apology to that one student you discriminated against on the basis of her clothing and lifestyle and all the WHS students who are just like her. You allow students to wear shirts that say things like "I don't give a rat's ass" or have beer can labels on them, yet an emo kid wearing a black t-shirt that says "I'm a black girl now" is offensive to you?! Why aren't you offended by the "rat's ass" and beer shirts? Why is being emo so offensive to you? Think about it, and apologize! You made a mistake. You're an adult. The appropriate thing for you to do is to apologize to that student and every other WHS student just like her. Plus, you better remove a couple of your outdoor security cameras and most of your indoor security cameras. If they're not pointed at or next to an entrance and/or violate student and staff privacy, take them down. It'll help you save money. Many of them no longer work anyways, despite people trying to fix them over the years.

I hope you all learn something from all of this and take a good look at your actions. You should be extremely ashamed of yourselves. Please do the right thing. Make the students, staff, parents, and members of the communities you serve proud and happy for once.
