Teacher Complaint: Mrs. Allen - Cottondale Elementary School
I am writing about Ms.Allen a fifth grade math teacher at Cottondale Elementary. She has so many complaints on her. Its not just me. I mean shes constantly picking on him not giving him help when he needs it. My son is failing math and she seems to just not care. She thinks that she can constantly just shun him and make him feel stupid in the classroom. She does this to other children in the classroom as well.The school board seems to think that the parents are crazy and over reacting, I cant get anything done about this problem. So what do I do???

I have been teaching for 15 years. During that course of time, I have been evaluated by my administrators every three years. None of those evaluations reflect ineffective teaching methods or management nor do they indicate negative ethics or interactions with students. My personnel record contains no complaints by parents or co-workers. All students in my classes are treated fairly and with respect. I teach the Alabama Course of Study as directed by my administrators. When available, students receive academic support both in and out of the classroom. Parents are encouraged to support their children’s academic program by monitoring their children’s assignments and providing additional assistance as needed.
