Teacher Complaint: Mrs. Benjamin ( Social Studies) - Stonybrook Middle School

I have tried to work with this teacher. I am a very involved parent. When talking to her about my child she claimed she does not have time to push my son and she has around 350 students and does not have time to deal with my son. When I met with her the first time she ran out of the room in the middle of our conversation to talk to someone that was standing in the hallway. My son was in the library with his class when the group had a security drill of some kind. She stated she had all the students move to another side of the room away from the windows. My son did not move because he stated he didn't hear her. Instead of talking to him since she never had any problems with him before she sends him straight to the office. I ask her about the situation and she gets an attitude.

Unfortunately my son was sick due to H1N1 and the class had a test while he was out. When my son returned she gave him the test on his first day back. My son was out for a week. I told her that was not fair so she allowed him to retake the test and she told me that your son should have told her he was not ready. I thougt she could have figured that out on her own. My son was out of school because he was sick off and on for two to three weeks again with the stomach flu. She would not work with us to help him catch up. She was very harsh on how she graded his work. I could go on and on. Just recently she put the students into groups and she put my son with a group of students who are known not to do their work. I am so tired of dealing with this teacher I need to know what should be my next step?

I had a similar problem. I prayed all day long and sometimes I fear the teacher will hurt my child. My child is in elementary and I think the teacher has it out for my child. I prayed that the school year will come to an end.
