Teacher Complaint: Randy Rowlett - Quitman High School
The date the incident occured is all the time.
This teacher demands to be called coach and he is no coach of anything. the prolem is he does not TEACH algebra(which a lot of people have trouble in his class when they have A's and B's in all other classes}. When approached in the hall to ask if he has time for extra help, he laughs and tells them it's something they should have already learned. He can't help after school because he has a bus route. We have hired tutors {one which was another algebra teacher}, but he said he couldn't help because he did not understand the steps Mr. Rowlett made them show on paper. This teacher is uncaring and seems to enjoy making the students feel stupid. He also enjoys embarrassing them in front of others. There are many parents that feel this way and several have complained to the superintendant but nothing has been done. these kind of teachers should be fired. And before any negative comments; yes our students do care about their grades and put a LOT of time trying to understand it. All the parents that I have heard complain in front of me should also complain to the school board. This man needs to go.
