i am a teacher and i am glad there is a website like this. i agree that there are going to be angry, emotional, irrational parents who will come to vent because they refuse to parent, and/or are frustrated by their lack of parenting skills, and/or the lack of control they have over or about their children. most, refuse to do their jobs as parents, even the basics as teaching re-enforcing the basics - rights and wrongs, how to talk to others with care, and how to talk to adults. most do not know what to do with their children when they are with them, other than to provide them with the foolish internet, tv, cell phone, or video games.
i think this site is great. bullying (harsssment) and racism are the biggest issues in schools these days, from elementary to high. with this site i hope teachers who stand by and ignore bullying (by student or teacher) will be "called out" right here. the racism, sadly to say, will be difficult to prove, but records will show, minority students (especially black students) are punished more often, receive harsher punishment, for the same offences (as wearing flip flops, shorter shorts, silly offenses as those), than that of their white classmates. racism however, is pervasive in the media and movies, so that's a difficult task to tackle for the short term. bullying (harassment), by student or teacher however, is one that can be cured/corrected immediately, for the most part. too many teachers (and students) stand by, say or do nothing about when a child is in distress. here, on this site, hopefully, these situations can be brought to light.
all other complaints....i would take with a grain of salt.
many students at all levels are attention seeking, and most of the times are determined to get cheap laughs or get the class to focus on them. since many parents do not parent, or do not know how to parent, teachers have deal with students who do not follow directions, talk back, talk back with deep disrespect and ugliness (definitely relaying what they have seen on junk tv/media) constantly disrupting teaching and learning. sad to say, with the media and the tv having such control of the minds of these young ones, that will be difficult to change.

so the only valid complains i would take a serious look at here is if there is a bullying (harassment) situations, perpetrated by students but sometimes by teachers, or racial complaints.
i do have first hand knowledge of these situations, so i am well aware.
sorry to ramble, but you got the drift.

Elana cox, she is a teacher that does not meet the students needs. Nor is she sutable to be a licensed teacher. I have had TOO many problems out of her along with others. A student request worksheets from the previous day due to a excused absinance in which she showed the teacher. Yet cox refused to give her the worksheets that were required the day requested. She has taken our notebooks with all of our notes in them the night before a quiz not allowing us to study. currently and through out the year she has not teached all the matrial required by us students. I am currently ATTEMPTING to do homework on a paid website and she has not taught ANY of the matrial on here. She has not taught us to find the amount of energy of a photon with x wavelength. Or anything else. And I was also at the counciling office dealing with one of her current problems so I missed a lab project and she requested me to stay after school and make it up even though I HAVE to ride the bus. She is not suitable teacher. She has walked away from me and many other students while talking to her about problems and resumes talking to the class and ignores us. I have had my grade drop from a 89 to a 59 in three days. If these is not a valid complaint I do not know what is.
