Teacher Complaint: Charla Stansbury - Salyers Elementary

I have made several attempts to schedule a parent teacher conference for academic grades and teacher has said i can only come at one time during the day which is not feasable for me because of my work schedule. She will not schedule any other time. I finally contacted the assistant principal at the school which I left messages for never returned my call but I finally got in touch with by calling back. My son has a medical condition that is suppossed to be kept confidential and teacher has mentioned it in front of other students which makes my child feel really bad and embarrassed. Now he is being treated unfairly and for the second time excluded from field trips because of medical condition.

This is not an unfair request of the teacher. Why should she change her schedule to accomodate you instead of you taking off or getting off work to accomodate her? She is teaching your child, surely you can understand that she probobly has a family, a life and a schedule apart from school. This is ridiculous. She doesn't owe you anything, take off work for crying out loud! If the teacher embarrassed your son, then that is something I would definitely address. Perhaps you can e-mail her? Or another idea is scheduling a phone conference.
